Wow! This five-star novel grabs you on page 1 and does not let up. The dialogue will make readers with aging parents nod in agreement, from the father's heart-tugging repetitions to the mother's concerns about Dad's driving and then adult son Joey realizes that he had added "only" in front of seventy-five-years old because these are his parents. He was used to their constant presence in his life.

The Green family members are likeable characters, making it all the more interesting to keep turning pages. Dr. Green, the dad, had always cared about others and especially those less fortunate. Now everyone has to alter activities and housekeeping to ensure Dad's safety. This may seem like the subject of other novels you've read, but the pacing and dialogue make this fresh and entertaining. To top it off, there is something ominous about a missing item from Dad's fishing gear. Obviously, a lot more is at stake than giving Mother a chance to have some time off from 24/7 care of her husband.
