After reading a sneak peak of Cape May by Chip Cheek and hanging on every single word I had to buy a copy once it came out(unfortunately I didn't win a copy). It also didn't hurt that one of my newest favorite authirs, Rachel Barenbaum(debut author of A Bend in the Stars) rated it five stars and gave it a glowing review on Goodreads. So needless to say I pre-ordered Cape May and started reading your immediately upon receiving it! And it didn't let me down! What a ride this novel was! Chip Cheek did an amazing job of transporting me to Fall 1957 in Cape May, New Jersey right alongside the newlyweds, Henry and Effie. The story seemed to be one th I t on the surface but the deeper you dig the more questions the plot asks of the reader. Moral questions as well as basic life questions that transcend time. I loved this book and can't recommend it enough to those that love Historical and/or Literary Fiction!
