The more I read this fast-pace book, the more I enjoyed it, and couldn’t put it down. This was fun, erotic and moving. If you are not into steamy romantic scenes, then this isn’t for you. I enjoyed getting to know each character. Chip Cheek does a fantastic job developing each. This was set in the 1950’s. Henry and Effie are newlyweds. The go to Cape May, New Jersey for their honeymoon. It’s the off-season, Effie runs into a old neighborhood girl, and they all get to know each other with lots of alcohol, stories,and temptations to keep them all busy.
I think Alma was my favorite character. I liked how the ending wrapped up. I only wish there was an update on Clare, Max and Alma. I look forward to see what Chip has next.
