Unfortunately, Cape May by Chip Cheek did not entirely work for me for a combination of reasons. Based on the cover, title and marketing, I expected this to be more of a summer read a la Elin Hildebrand, Nancy Thayer, Jamie Brenner, etc. What a got was a lot of sexual exploration bordering on erotica. Now, to be clear, I am quite a fan of romance and don't mind the steam in the slightest - however, I picked this one up because I wanted something light and summery - which this one was not. I think had I been in the right mindset this would have gone better for me, but I was struggling through.
