This is the author’s debut novel and I believe it was well written. It is a story that sets in the 50s and in Cape May. The way the author describes Cape May makes you feel like you are there. Effie and Henry are newlyweds and are happily in love, young, and on their honeymoon. They go to Cape May in the off-season so everything is closed but a few stores. Effie wanted to show Henry this great town that was such a part of her life as she used to visit with her family. They are naive when it comes to their intimacy as they are virgins but it gets pretty steamy in parts. I would enjoy reading this again and again. It’s a great story and will keep you turning the pages especially when Effie and Henry come in contact with a group of individuals who try to lead them down a dangerous path. A must read.
