I had really looked forward to reading this novel, but was sorely disappointed. It had very little to do with the location, but seemed to rather be a platform for the author to rehearse his adolescent fantasies. Very disappointing.

It all started out well enough when the young newlyweds manage to scape together the opportunity to have a honeymoon at Cape May before taking up the drudgery of real life. Limited funds necessitated coldcut sandwiches rather than wining and dining in high style.

Life was simple, but full of promise until the couple stumbles upon a group of hangers on who are also trying to wrong on last hoorah from the season. Luring the couple into their world of means, at first their new friends play the role of gracious hosts. Soon the couple is sucked into a world of debauchery. What begins as harmless fun soon strips away all the innocent promise of tomorrow for the newlyweds.

I found the story to be disjointed and without purpose.
