I received an early copy of this book from the publisher awhile ago. This is not my usual genre or style of book I typically read so maybe that plays a big role in my rating for this book. I’m honestly not even really sure how to review this one. It was just ok for me, not bad but not that good either. I passed it along to some of my family and friends after I was done with it and they seemed to enjoy it a little more than I did. “This is a novel about marriage, love, raw sexuality, and the ways in which desire and betrayal can reverberate endlessly throughout our lives.” I wanted to like this book. I thought the synopsis sounded good and the storyline had real promise but it just fell a little flat and didn’t hold my interest very well, but mind you I’m more of a horror/thriller/mystery type girl so I really don’t want to put anyone off from reading this book. If you like books set in Cape May, NJ or books set in the 1950s or couples getting entangled in other couples drama then this might be for you.
