Apologies to everyone involved with this book—it really is quite well written—but I just can’t continue anymore (giving up a quarter through). I’m looking for plot, substance, sympathetic, intriguing characters, something(!) and I’ve got...nothing. Unless you like sex on the page, of which there’s plenty. So far, Henry, the MC, has an unhealthy (or healthy, I won’t judge) obsession with it, whether it’s having it, or thinking about his erection, or fantasizing about other women (on his honeymoon!), etc., etc.

Based on other reviews as well as the plot synopsis, I gather there are some threesomes ahead (again, on your honeymoon?), so I’m sure that this singleminded activity will do nothing but continue. And alas, I’ve run out of patience for it. So yes, I suppose I am judging. Maybe if there were some deeper emotional depth, but...

I’m sure smarter people than I will tell me that there’s some underlying moral to the story or deep commentary on marriage and society, but I’ve got other books on my TBR that I’m looking forward to and that don’t sound like they’re from some teenage boy’s sexual fantasies...
