my first impression of this book truly puts me in the mind of the notebook, or a time when love was soft and always brand new, when men held the door for the ladies and when women were never far from their white gloves and lace hankies. according to the cover, i can hear sea gulls and smell sea foam. i love that they are a new relationship and the door is wide open for things to happen in this book. the book sample kept me interested even if there we only two characters on display. i want effie and henry to work but i get the feeling that the new-old neighbors up the street will make this book more than a love story. i was kept interested throughout the whole passage and i would love to have a chance to read the book.
