The book dragged me in immediately! The writing is wonderful and I'm very excited to see these characters bloom as the book progresses. I love that there is already tension between Effie and Clara and Effie and Henry and I can't wait to see how the relationships with the new characters evolve. I'm worried that Effie and Henry might be too set up as innocent lambs being sent to slaughter but I can't help but be intrigued in how their innocence will be changed thanks to this new group of characters. There are characters like Effie and Henry and I can't wait to see how they approach any upcoming conflicts that might occur. Can't wait to read more!
