I knew I wanted to read this book when I read its setting. Both the time and place appeal to me as a reader. As a person born in the mid-fifties I like to read more about this period to help me come to some conclusions on why my parents were the way they were. The setting is just one that always makes me happy, who doesn’t like a story set in such a lovely place.
