The beginning of this book really got me excited and kept me reading but the middle was a struggle. Mungo St John watched his whole life get torn apart by Chester Marion. In order to seek revenge, he travels to Africa to find his riches and commits several unthinkable acts that later come back to haunt him. In the process, he finds out his first true love Camilla is still alive and needs to find and release her immediately. Compromising not only himself but several people along the way, Mungo is a changed man by the time he has reached Camilla again. Revenge is the only thing on his mind and he will do nothing until it has been played out. Once again Mungo has to lose everything in order to get what he wants.
