Just finished this book and although it wasn’t something I normally would read , I totally loved this book from beginning to ending ! Didn’t think I was gonna love it as much as I did ! Really woke me up to the way slaves were treated back in the day and how horrible at that ! Brought a lot of attention to detail in my eyes in it ! The way they challenged people to a duel in a fight and whipped them when they were being punished was grueling to witness , you could just put yourself in their place and cringe at how awful that was ! Mungos determination to avenge his fathers death with his enemy was so gratifying in the end ! History is an amazing thing to read and take you back into and this book was definitely a real page turner , I couldn’t get enough ! Wonderfully written storyline and the characters made you feel like you were in the book as you were reading it !
