I have never read Persuasion, but after this, I think I might. In this brief first glance, I've fallen in love with Dr. Anne Corey. I'm intrigued that the novel is taking place between faculty on a college campus. I'm really enjoying the flashback from the present to Anne's time in college. I also was surprised, but enjoyed the emails embedded into the text as a way to add to the story. I think the passages and emails are woven beautifully and seamlessly into Anne's present as she reminisces and goes about her career as a professor. I am desperate to find out how Anne's novel contract comes into play for her attaining tenure, and of course I'm looking forward to the sure to be swoony moments between her and Adam. I can't wait!
