I couldn't believe Anne was in her 30's and a college professor after reading the opening scene. Her behavior is more that of a student than a teacher. Adam's brief appearance is not positive either as he seems cold and aloof. The college setting nor the English literature subject matter are appealing to this reader. I am curious about Anne and Adam's backstory but not enough to want to read this book. Just not my cup of tea.
