In a world filled with modern re-tellings of Jane Austen novels, it takes a lot to stand out. Unfortunately, this book doesn’t quite do that. Much like the original Persuasion, the 2 main characters come across as a bit bland. I did, however, find the plot and setting mildly intriguing.
