I am a sucker for a Modern Retelling of Jane Austen and I love that Anne, the main character is a professor of British Lit. It seems like ex's turn up in the most random places and in this case Anne's ex-fiance becomes the president of the university. I felt the awkwardness of their first meeting after 10 years at the faculty club and want to read more about their interactions! This First Look had a few chapters and I was ready to keep on reading. As a high school teacher, I can relate to the students excuses and I felt like Anne and I could be friends (but my office is a bit cleaner!!).
