Although I have not read Persuasion, the classic this is a modern re-telling of, I do enjoy these stories in their own right. I’m already fawning over the books on the cover, and those described by the English professor protagonist. Unfortunately I can already predict where the story is going, and romances that are set up from the beginning are not usually my cup of tea. I am interested enough to see this through though, because I really liked the initial glimpse of Anne and want to see her succeed in getting tenure.
