I've read many Jane Austen modern retellings, and for the most part they can be either hit or miss. I was looking for this one to be on the miss list, but actually very much enjoyed the first impression. The story and characters seem to draw you in make you want to push forward. Anne, although admittedly flawed is almost instantly likable also. I'll be sure to watch out for this one when it is released. The cover is again very eh, to me, but I feel that way about many covers nowadays.
