Any cover that contains the word "book" automatically grabs my attention, because there's nothing I enjoy more than reading about books, bookstores, people discussing books, or someone trying to write a book. The summary intrigues me because, for the first time, I might read about a woman whose ex isn't complete scum. I've grown so weary of fictional women in jeopardy with some former lover holding power over them. It's certainly true to life but it get so depressing to read after a while. However, this summary suggests that perhaps all of the love is not lost between the protagonist and her ex, while she is simultaneously exploring something new with another suitor. I'd much rather read about an abundance of love than a dearth, or love being twisted. I'm excited to read this!
