I really like that the main character is an intelligent woman. She has a career and she's passionate about literature. I'm not sure if she's a character I can rally behind because in just the first few chapters of the novel she sounds like a lovesick teenager pining for a lost love. Maybe she has a more interesting background or some characteristic that shows further in the novel that would invest me in her story.
