Although I do like the cover, it does not really convey the idea that the story is about an English professor at a small college. By the Book follows Professor Anne Corey as she struggles to fulfill her goals. Complicating matters, Anne's ex-fiance has just become President of her college. Will regrets about days gone by threaten Anne's future? Will the pair be able to put the past behind them? I would like to read the remainder of By the Book, as I found the book to have a good premise with characters that I would like to know more about.
