The book starts off at a quick pace opening on the dinner party for a recently released felon. From there it takes you to a burned out cottage, with a body inside. The slow moving pace takes you through a police style procedural. I found the main characters to be a little uninteresting and was hoping for more. The beginning of the book made it seem that the most focus would be on the five woman having dinner and planning their perfect crime. I’m not sure if it just wasn’t the right book for me at the time or if the writing style just wasn’t for me. It was interesting but didn’t hold my attention like I was hoping for. I would be interested in reading more from this author though to see if it just wasn’t the right story for me.
