This was exactly what I was hoping for. A great book with dense characters and lots of twists. Kept me guessing and trying to piece things together the entire time. The main characters were intriguing. This is the first time I've read a book written by Lynda La Plante, and I must say I am a fan now.
Finished this is story within a few days and hated putting it down.

When his step father announces he only has several month to live, it sends him on a chase to find out who his Bio-father really was, while also juggling a high profile murder case. Jack finds out that sometimes not knowing is better off.
