Good read, but not my favorite. Overall the writing was very good, I liked the style; you really felt like you were part of the investigation. It did take me some time to get into. The beginning was mostly getting into the family history, which could have been a little less in depth. Once I started to get hooked, it was very fast paced and I couldn't put it down. I didn't get very involved with the characters, but I still enjoyed the suspense and mystery of the book. I would have liked the ending to be a bit more tied up at the end. I am interested in continuing the series, so I will be reading the next book when it comes out. I liked the building of Jack's character, which is one reason why I will keep reading the series.
