This book is one of the first mysteries I’ve read, and I must say, it sets a rather high bar for any future reads. The author does a really good job of writing complex and nuanced characters that seem very real to me, because if the way they experience very real emotions and thoughts.

It’s important to a realistic fiction book, but in this case, the author manages to do it in a way that feels unique.
