Lynda was a new author for me. And I think it is going to take some time before I can read another from here. Lynda has put up a great effort to write a masterpiece of thriller. As a writer, she passed the test. But, as a reader, oh boy!! It was a struggle to read the book. I usually finish a good decent mystery book in like 2 days, at most 3. Buried took me almost a week.
Lynda tries her level best to connect the dots between a burnt body, a train robbery, missing diamonds, couple of murders here and there. Throw in finding who the biological father and the son’s true identity is. But it is just very very difficult to get the storyline.
I was not able to identify with any of the characters- no love, hate, kinship of any kind. No feelings identified. The characters did have some great potential for growth.
Phew! It was exhausting to finish the book. One of the few books that goes the corner of my bookshelf.
