This book depicts the story of DC Jack Warr and his journey in solving a multitude of crimes both current and historical. Expect twists and turns as he discovers what may be connected or not. Strong women are well represented as well.

This book in general had a slow start. It took u til the last 1/4 to really get into it. I struggled to keep up with all of the characters in the beginning and what was going on as one chapter included many different scenes and peoples stories. I really enjoyed it once I got into it though. I wasn’t a huge fan of the main character Jack, as he just never seems happy with what he’s got, whether it be who his dad is or his job. I enjoyed the Grange women however. Powerful women who are underestimated. It was an unexpected plot with twists and turns throughout.
