I am a fan of mystery and crime books so for one, these kinds of reads always gets my attention. After reading the first look, I feel there is potential and already has me thinking. The only thing is, many books in this genre, especially crime, are starting to feel similar to one another. It's usually the writing that can make it different and unique so I am hoping for this to be a thriller that will keep me in suspense and wanting to figure out what happened and why.
