I have previously read a sample of the third book from the Dolly Rawlins series by this same author, so when I saw this book, I checked to see whether it was part of a series. This book is listed as the first of a new series. However, the introductory text describes the same scene I read in the Dolly Rawlins book! So now I know that I have to finish the Dolly series before I can read this book, because they appear to be related.
That being said, this is a skilled author who has painted scenes and characters that I look forward to getting to know better.
