Honey Creek is a small Texas town where the mayor's 'fiance' has disappeared along with the Sheriff and no one's talking. There is a good background briefing of the main characters and the author does a good job of moving the story along.

The disappearance of her fiance puts her in a difficult position and rumors are flying around town each more outrageous than the last. She calls for reinforcements and her brother sends in a Texas Ranger to investigate undercover who proposes his undercover story is he's an old friend who wants to reconnect romantically. Looks to be a fun ride.
