This book has a lot going for it -- a young lady mayor aspiring to be Governor; her missing 'fiance' created by gossip and not disputed by the couple; a fill-in preacher taking on the church his (dead) father was asked to serve; and a Texas Ranger asked to work undercover to sort out the mysteries of Honey Creek. All these ingredients are eloquently revealed in the first few chapters. The author's talent at placing and pulling these threads together so quickly creates an intriguing premise, one that I look forward to finishing!
