The cover is beautifully designed to suit the book’s plot. The story itself, is a mystery within another mystery. I almost laughed at the cocky behavior of the Texas ranger’s encounter with the bold and ambitious female governor. The governor is wanting to go higher in the politics but due to a recent scandal her and her family’s name will be muddied for a bit. She needs answers and so do the Texas rangers. Then, there’s the new preacher. He’s a bit like the Texas ranger investigating the scandal. However, he seems to have more charm and more appeal to the female governor. Now, my interest is piqued. What happened to her long time friend? Where is his body? And which man will steal her heart? So many questions and plenty of action to make me interested in reading more.
