Full disclosure. I'm not a fan of romance, but this book will probably change all of that. I really liked the author's style and having the setting in the State of Texas is a plus. What better setting than to have it in the Lone Star State and with Texas Rangers to boot?
Just based on the first three chapters, one gets the sense that there is a heck of a lot more in store as far as the three main players are concerned. Add a mysterious disappearance of a fourth player and you have a perfect blend for a romance/cozy mystery -- which is why the book cover is so apropos.
