Jodi Thomas is a new author for me but I really am interested in reading this story. I found the three main characters to be very intriguing. The mayor of this small Texas town has a major dilemma in her life. Her “fake” fiancé has disappeared and the rumors in town seem to be pointing a finger at her.
Her brother hires a Texas Ranger to act undercover, to find out anything about this disappearance.
And then a new “Preacher” comes to town to confuse matters more.The preacher has gone to seminary, but has spent his adult life wandering around, trying to find himself. I am really not sure if he is a trustworthy character.
I can’t wait to finish reading this story.
