Fine fit for genre readers.

This is not a genre I read, so my review won't be as helpful as others who are more dedicated. The writing itself is clear and flows nicely.

The cover seems to be a good fit for the genre. Aesthetically, it's colorful, charming, and attractive. Not sure, however, if a Victorian-style house like what's pictured shows up much in Texas -- I've never seen one there.

From the brief glimpse we have into the characters (from an excerpt alone), they do seem like many will fit into romance genre tropes. Also, I lived in Texas for a few years, and it does seem like the "down-home-ness" sometimes associated with Texas is a bit overplayed, especially since the state is quite large and local culture really shifts from region to region.
