Cover is misleading; Excerpt is great!
The cover is deceptive! When I look at it, I think small town romance, women's fictionish. I don't at all think missing fiance and scandal! Also for some reason the building makes me think of a bed and breakfast by the sea, not a b&b by a lake. Also the first couple of chapters are set in town, so the cover is misleading.
The chapters were interesting and captivating. I have my own hunches about what happened to the missing faux beau, but having never read Jodi Thomas, I'm excited to learn more about Piper, Sam, and Coby! Best of all this is the first book in a series, so if I enjoy it, there is a lot of backlist to enjoy and more to look forward to!
