boring with errors and not for me

The first thing I noticed is the author kept using 'may' (present tense) instead of 'might' (past tense. This happened multiple times within the first few paragraphs. This doesn't give me high hopes for the content of the story. The content itself didn't interest me at all and I found myself utterly bored through reading the sample.
