I do enjoy YA books occasionally. This story seems interesting. Minah's mom dying is a great way to begin. After reading the first look, I'd love to learn more about her relationship with her mother. We don't know why they were estranged yet. Her father moved her away to Brooklyn but we don't know why they left Obsidian. Would love to find out what happened.
