This was an interesting read. I'll admit, this is not the type of book I usually go for, however I did appreciate the author's storytelling. The vernacular and prose was different from what I normally read, and some parts were hard to understand, but it made the reader feel more immersed in Yaminah's little world. I also really liked the vivid scenery details and explanations of places.
