This seems like it will be a very heavy and intense coming of age story. It starts intense and doesn't let up for the entirety of the sample. I found it difficult to read, though I can see that it probably will have some great messages if you can stick it out through the whole thing.
I didn't really like the cover, and it doesn't draw me in at all. It's too dark and intense. In that sense, I suppose it actually fits well with the tone of the book itself.
