Minah thinks her life is going ok until she finds out her mother has died. It's so hard when someone wants to be out of your life, but it's even harder when you find out they are gone forever. I can't imagine how she feels, at 16, finding out her mother died from cancer in a Facebook post. Obsidian seems like an interesting place full of interesting people. I can't imagine what she'll find there.
