I don't think this quite turned out to be my "cup of tea" as they say. I think I'm more of a thriller lover than I thought. It's usually really difficult for me to really get into life stories about experiences without getting to personally know the characters over a period of time. This is what happened to me with this book. The stories were not long enough for me to really grasp the character's point of view and their individual struggles. There were about two stories I could personally relate to which were The Memory Palace and All I Have. The Memory Palace and All I Have featured stories of financial struggle and mental struggle both of which I was familiar with.
This was an enjoyable book and would make a good beach read. I was glad I got to test out a genre that I normally would not have picked up.
