Short stories are always a little bittersweet for me. For one, I love the characters and the development. I feel like authors always put more time into short stories, making every word count because it's shorter than a novel. And because of that, in my opinion, the quality is (sometimes/mostly) better. But on the other hand, it's always too short (I know I sound like a whiny child but it's just how I feel). I always find myself wanting to stay with the characters. It's that feeling after finishing a book when you just stare at the wall because you just want to bask in the brilliance of what you read but at the same time you just wanted to stay immersed in the story. Like putting a book away before reading the last two pages because you loved the characters so much. This book was all of that. I loved the stories but wanted to stay with them.
