I'm not going to sugar coat it, the first story was not great. It honestly almost turned me off from the entire book. The blurb painted this loyal husband who was tested. It was the complete opposite. The man was a dirty bag who cheated almost constantly. He did not even find joy in his own children because he was so hung up on a past love. It was seriously unbearable.
That being said, the other short stories were very cute and mostly uplifting. The book had a good flow even though having it set in a short story format made the endings sudden and kind of jarring.
This book was great for those times when you can only sneak in a couple of minutes to read at a time. The format and dialogue kept me interested as soon as I made it past the first one.
