I want to start by thanking BookishFirst, the author, and the publisher for giving me that chance to read an advanced copy of this book. I initially read the first look on BookishFirst.com and thought that the cover art and the first look were both great. Once I received the book and picked up reading it where the first look left off, I have to admit that this book sat on the shelf for some time. I had a difficult time getting into the story and for me it was not an easy read. Not that the author is a poor writer, but that the style was just not typically something that I particularly gravitate towards. I finished the book and honestly am indifferent about it. I don't hate it, I don't love it. I shared the book with a friend after I finished it, and she said that she really enjoyed it. I think that this book is not a bad read, and my friend really enjoyed it, so I say give it a chance!
