First off I really enjoyed reading the very different stories of each person. I like how each story floated in and out of these different peoples' lives. It was hard to read just a tiny morsel of these people's fascinating lives, but that is what made it so good. This was catalogue of beautiful, painful stories that draw people closer to the human experience. One of the stories followed the loss of a fellow comrade in Tito's Descent. Another story was a woman who still feels the aftershocks of her husband's death in Voices. The story about the woman retracing her homeless brother's final years after he had passed was another hauntingly sad account. The author is very skilled at getting into people's heads and their lives. Very well done in writing and piecing together human experiences. Five Stars!
