The stories I read felt strained and awkward, the writing somewhat juvenile. You know when authors tell you what's going on and how characters feel, rather than showing you how characters feel? The stories felt full of that. Also, the first story romanticized adultery. Not okay, and not something I want to be promoted in my reading.
