Hard-to-put-down Thriller
This thriller turned out to be a good read and hard to put down. Setting the events in the 80s allowed for a lot of interesting plot twists that would have been difficult to imagine in this day and age, and of course, slipping back in time is always a fun way to escape reality.
The plot itself seemed to develop better than the characters as the main character overall felt a bit flat. Some parts were hard to read, like how sexist the male colleagues were, but it did add some realism to them.
The murder was a bit graphic, so if you're looking for a cozier mystery, this wouldn't be for you. But with such an exciting -- and thrilling -- story, the book was still engaging and entertaining, and one I would certainly recommend reading!
