I just finished Lynda La Plante’s Blunt Force. This is the sixth in a series featuring Detective Jane Tennison but it is my first in the series. She was dismissed from the Flying Squad which was an elite group and sent to a quiet police station in London where nothing much happens. And then, she discovers a show biz agent, Charlie Foxley, who has been beaten, and dismembered. Charlie Fox made a lot of enemies and it is up to Jane and DS Spencer Gibbs who is an old friend of hers to find out who the murderer or murderers are.
I wished I had a little more background on Jane as I think I am missing a lot of character development. There are a lot of tense moments In this book and some moments where I found myself wanting it to hurry up. I ended up being a fan. I am going to seek out the first books of this series soon.
